Larix Broadcaster is a professional streaming application that allows users to stream high-quality video and audio content in real-time from their mobile devices. With a range of advanced features and support for various protocols, Larix Broadcaster is a reliable solution for remote contribution.

 <li>Zixi protocol support for delivering live streaming with advanced transmission techniques, including support for AVC/HEVC codecs, SEI timestamps, and Grove integration.</li>
 <li>NDI®|HX2 support, allowing users to preview streams, set up metadata, and control zoom from NDI Studio Monitor.</li>
 <li>RIST protocol streaming in Push mode, supporting RIST Main and Simple profiles with librist version 0.2.7.</li>

One noteworthy feature of Larix Broadcaster is its ability to handle multiple simultaneous connections, enabling users to add several connection profiles and choose any of them for parallel streaming. Additionally, users can pause the stream without disconnecting it by long-tapping on the Start button. This feature is particularly useful as the video track will display a black screen and the audio track will only contain silence.

Another useful feature is the stand-by stream mode, which allows users to start a stream in pause mode with a separate set of overlays. This provides flexibility in creating customized streams with overlays tailored to specific requirements.

The application also includes talkback functionality, enabling users to receive audio return feeds via SRT, RTMP, Icecast, and SLDP protocols. This is particularly useful for scenarios where two-way communication is necessary.

Larix Broadcaster supports UltraHD resolution and Dolby Vision HDR, ensuring high-quality video output. It also provides support for both front and back cameras, offering a seamless experience for users.

With Larix Broadcaster's multi-camera capture feature, users can utilize picture-in-picture and side-by-side layouts on XR, XS, and later devices. This allows for engaging multi-camera presentations or productions.

The application also supports dual/triple camera systems, including wide-angle and telephoto cameras. This provides users with additional flexibility in capturing different perspectives during live streaming.

Center stage functionality is available for iPads, further enhancing the user experience. It can be enabled following the instructions provided by Apple.

Other notable features of Larix Broadcaster include autoexposure lock, white balance lock, manual color temperature adjustment, saving to MP4 format, screenshots, iCloud support, and the ability to record with different parameters such as larger resolutions.

For audio capabilities, Larix Broadcaster offers input audio gain control, source selection, and Bluetooth audio support. Users can also leverage the application's audio-only capture feature, which allows for streaming without video output. Additionally, pinch-to-zoom functionality is available, utilizing all iPhone 11 cameras.

Larix Broadcaster features H.264 encoding for all protocols, including WebRTC. It also supports HEVC/H.265 encoding for SRT, RTMP, RIST, and RTSP protocols. AAC audio is supported by default, except for WebRTC which uses Opus audio.

The application supports inserting SEI metadata into SRT, WebRTC, and RTMP streams for NTP synchronization via the Advanced menu.

Please note that some premium features require a Larix Premium subscription, which can be purchased within the app. Larix Grove, another product offering from Softvelum, can be used for easy links distribution via deep links or QR codes.

Larix Broadcaster allows streaming to various media servers such as Nimble Streamer, Wowza Streaming Engine, Red5, Flussonic, and many others. It is also compatible with desktop software such as vMix and OBS Studio. In addition, the application supports streaming to popular live services including YouTube Live, Twitch, Restream.io, Facebook Live, and Dacast. Cloudflare Stream integration is possible using SRT, WebRTC, and RTMP protocols.

The application provides adaptive bitrate (ABR) functionality with logarithmic descend, ladder ascend, and hybrid approaches for SRT protocol, as well as support for variable FPS. This feature can be enabled in the Video menu.
